Late August on the day "Hurricane Katrina" made land it completely changed the lives of my family. I am the mother of 8 children, and wife to (although disabled) a wonderful husband! We owned our home in the Parish of St. Bernard and thought we were set and would not ever move again, but "Katrina" had other plans. Our home was destroyed completely, along with all of our belongings. Just the visible devastation in itself was next to impossible to deal with, not counting having to prepare yourself for a sit-down with my clueless, beautiful young children and look in their saddened eyes baring nothing but heart-wrenching news!!!! The first question they asked me was "Is O'Mallie okay?" (their cat) Unfortunately, we had no insurance on our home. Now we find ourselves in desperate need of someone to help w/ finances for a new home which has proven to be extremely difficult b/c my husband is disabled and we are on a fixed income w/ a very tight budget. So in short we would be extremely blessed if we were to cross paths w/ someone who would owner finance us, or help us financially. Even the smallest donation would be greatly appreciated and remembered in the process of rebuilding a once stable life for my very deserving family.
